A Flood Warning is in Effect for Annapolis
A flood warning is in effect for Annapolis through 10 p.m. Saturday, March 13. The snow melt combined with recent rain has saturated the ground, setting the stage for potential flooding. Winds on Saturday will blow around 20 mph out of the east, gusting to 30 mph, causing the higher water levels. The next high tide at City Dock is expected to hit around 4 p.m. Saturday.
A weather disturbance in the southeast will continue to move into the region, bringing 3-5 inches of rain Friday night and Saturday. This is a slow moving system and will continue to keep rain in the forecast through Monday, with the heaviest rain ending Sunday morning. Water levels are expected to remain above normal into Sunday.
